Designation: Manager – Audit and Tax

Job Description:

Responsible for handling and managing the following for multiple clients

  • Income Tax Compliance
    1. Corporate Tax
      1. Annual Income Tax Returns filing
      2. Advance tax computation and payment
      3. Tax planning/Consulting
      4. Review of CCH (Practice management tool) with respect to tax return checklist and working papers before closure of task
      5. Ensure adherence to statutory due dates
  • Audits
    1. Assisting in Tax Audits and preparation of Tax audit reports
    2. Analysing accounting systems and developing audit plans.
    3. Monitoring Audit Status as per audit plan and ensure completion within agreed timeframe
    4. Training Support staff on Tax Audits
    5. Review of CCH (Practice management tool) with respect to audit checklist and working papers ensuring adherence to audit standards
    6. Use correct formats for audit reports, working papers, status updates, plan and programmes
    7. Ensure improvement in quality of deliverables
  • TDS Compliance
    1. Quarterly Returns filing
    2. ETDS calculations
    3. Form 16 and 16A generation
    4. Income tax deduction proof verification
    5. Ensure TDS payments regularly
  • Companies Act Compliance
    1. Assisting in Statutory Audits and preparation of audit observation reports
    2. Analysing accounting systems and developing audit plans.
    3. Monitoring Audit Status as per audit plan and ensure completion within agreed timeframe
    4. Training Support staff on Statutory Audits
    5. Review of CCH (Practice management tool) with respect to audit checklist and working papers ensuring adherence to audit standards
    6. Use correct formats for audit reports, working papers, status updates, plan and programmes
    7. Ensure improvement in quality of deliverables
  • Evaluating tax refunds and filing tax returns.
  • Regular knowledge updation of tax laws and regulations, as well as auditing practices.
  • Proactively discuss workflow management with the audit teams, allocating resources to the assigned work and monitoring performance against standards. Monitor utilization for one’s team, budget to actuals, and other operational matters.
  • Standardize audit processes along with leveraging best practices across one’s aligned engagements or beyond. Motivate and lead team members, identify and foster key talents, coach and supervise team members.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews and provide performance feedback.
  • Review jobs and status of the same and make sure all jobs are billed
  • Organise meeting with clients, presenting the points including how can they do value addition and business improvement / cost cutting etc
  • Visit the client as frequent as possible or try to be in touch with online mode and develop good relationship with client
  • Weekly review of weekly status update and make sure next week works for the client is planned
  • Taking client feedback & improve if required as per their feedback by making changes in service etc.
  • Networking activities for future leads and business
  • Conduct/Attend seminars

Candidate Profile:

  • Should have in-depth knowledge in Statutory Audit, Accounting and Taxation.
  • Expert knowledge of business processes, accounting, reporting and audit methodology. Preparation financials and strong holds on numbers.
  • Proficient in MS office and other software.
  • Good Communication skill
  • Strong knowledge of Income Tax Laws, Notifications, Rules, etc
  • Work experience: 2-5years
  • Qualification – CA
  • Hands-on experience with Tally/ Quickbooks, Winman, MS Excel, etc
  • Good communication skills – oral as well as written
  • Willingness to innovate and bring best practices in operations
